Wide Area Network(WAN).
WAN is a computer network that is distinguished from a Local Area Network because of its longer distance communications. the network may cover, a whole country or may include the site of a larger multinational organization. WANs are used to connect local area networks (LANs)and other types of networks together , so that user and computers in one location can communicate with user and computer in other locations.
many WANs are build for one particular organization and are private. others, build by internet service providers provide connection from an organizations LAN to the internet. that communications are usually provided by one or more national or international governmental entities.
